01A WORLD WORTH INVESTING IN

Build somewhere that has time to become a place.

Foundersvale is a survival world for people who like the part of Minecraft that happens after the first few nights. The towns, roads, farms, strange projects, shared infrastructure and familiar names that slowly turn a generated map into somewhere people actually know.

Claim your own piece of land and build alone if that's your thing. Work with other players on a town. Trade. Explore. Connect places together. Build something practical, something beautiful, or something completely unnecessary because you had an idea at 2 in the morning.

I'm not interested in wiping the map every few months just so we can call it a new season. There are no scheduled seasonal resets. I want to give the world enough time for places to develop, projects to get ambitious and the server to acquire a history of its own.

Come for Minecraft. Stay because the world starts to feel familiar.

02A COMMUNITY, NOT A PLAYER COUNT

I'd rather build a place where people recognize the names in chat.

Trade with someone. Help with their build. Start a town. Connect two settlements with a road. Build a shop. Organize something completely unnecessary.

Or ignore everybody, walk 15,000 blocks into the wilderness and build alone until somebody eventually discovers what you've been doing.

There isn't a correct way to play here. Just respect the world and the people sharing it with you.

03PLAYER ECONOMY

Your time and skills are worth something too.

Foundersvale has its own in-game currency to make trading and working together easier. Run a shop, sell resources at auction, hire someone for a project, or get paid for the work you're good at.

Most money moves between players. The economy is built around what people make, trade and do for each other, rather than endlessly printing coins through a grind.

Real money supports the server and the community around it. It can't be turned into in-game money or gameplay wealth. What you earn in the world stays part of the world.

04SERVER RULES

Keep it simple. Don't ruin the game for someone else.

Respect builds and claims

Don't grief, steal, deliberately damage another player's work, or look for technical loopholes around land protection.

Play fair

No cheating, hacked clients, duping, x-ray or exploits that give you an unfair advantage. If you find a serious exploit, tell us instead of building an economy around it.

Don't be a dick

Banter is fine. Harassment, hate, threats and repeatedly making the place miserable for somebody aren't.

Use some common sense

No rule list can cover everything. If you're deliberately causing problems, ruining the experience for others, or exploiting a loophole just because it isn't specifically mentioned here, staff can still step in.

05ROLES

Not everybody needs a fancy title.

Member

The normal Foundersvale experience. Build, claim land, trade, join projects and become part of the world.

Supporter

For people who choose to help with the real costs of Foundersvale. Recognition and carefully chosen extras, never purchased wealth or an in-game advantage.

Moderator

Trusted community members who can help players, deal with grief and step in when something needs sorting out.

Admin

Server management and the technical side of keeping Foundersvale running. This stays a small role rather than becoming a giant staff hierarchy.

06FAQ

The stuff you probably want to know before joining.

Will the world reset?

There are no scheduled seasonal resets. The point is to give the world time to develop. I won't promise that anything digital lasts forever, but wiping the map for artificial seasons isn't the plan.

Is Foundersvale pay-to-win?

No. Support never buys in-game currency, resources or an advantage over somebody who simply plays the game.

Can I build alone?

Absolutely. Claim your own land and do your own thing, join other people, start a town, trade, or move between all of those.

Where do I ask for help?

Discord is the easiest place for questions, support and discussion. The website remains the reference for important rules and server information.

07SUPPORT FOUNDERSVALE

Let Foundersvalers help pay for Foundersvale.

Foundersvale is mostly run by me, with a few friends helping with moderation and the community. I handle the servers, updates, backups, website and most of the technical work because I genuinely enjoy building and running this place.

Running it still costs real money. The Minecraft VPS is about €25 a month, while the separate infrastructure I run at home for backups and related services adds roughly €30 a month in electricity. My first goal is simply to build a strong community and ask them to help them pay the costs.

ROUGH MONTHLY COST~€55

You never have to pay to play here. Supporters may get recognition, cosmetics or carefully chosen conveniences as a thank-you, but real money never buys in-game currency, resources or gameplay power.

If contributions eventually go beyond the bills, most of that gives me room to put more back into Foundersvale: hosting, hardware, storage, services, events, community projects or whatever genuinely improves the place. And if the server grows enough that some of that support also compensates the considerable time I put into running it, I think that's reasonable too.

I may be the one running Foundersvale, but I'm doing it for everyone who chooses to make this world their own.

This isn't a business built to squeeze money out of players. It's a community I want to keep healthy, improve over time, and hopefully build with more people as it grows.

One-time or monthly support. No gameplay power for sale.

08THE BORING STUFF MATTERS TOO

I keep the backups somewhere else.

The game server runs on a VPS, but keeping its backups on that same VPS would defeat much of the point. If the server, storage or hosting environment has a serious problem, I still want a separate copy somewhere else. That's why backups are pulled away from the VPS to hardware I run myself at home.

It's not a corporate datacenter and I'm not going to dress it up as one. It's older enterprise gear, my own electricity bill, and the same kind of homelab tinkering that got me into running servers in the first place. I check it, maintain it and keep improving the setup as Foundersvale grows.

Call me crazy, but even this backup has a backup at another location. A lot of things have to go wrong before our world is lost.

If the VPS ever has a serious failure, I want to be restoring from a separate backup, not discovering that the backup disappeared with the server.

Backups aren't a promise that nothing can ever go wrong. They're simply part of taking people's time and builds seriously.

09NO ROSE-COLORED GLASSES

Nothing is forever.

I'm not going to promise that Foundersvale will still be running in ten or twenty years. Nobody can honestly promise that.

Servers change. People move on. Life changes.

If we get a time and a place where a group of people can create something great together, that's already worth a lot to me.

What I can promise is that I'm interested in giving this world a real chance. If people enjoy being here, build things together and turn Foundersvale into a place worth maintaining, I'm willing to keep investing my time, money and effort into it.

And if it lasts much longer than any of us expected? Even better.

10KEEP BUILDING THE VALE

There is always more of the Vale to build.

Foundersvale is shaped by the people who spend their time here. Every town, road, shop, project and completely unnecessary monument adds another piece to the world.

What Foundersvale becomes isn't decided in advance. It's built by the people who call it home.

Maybe you'll start the next town. Maybe you'll connect two places that have never been connected before. Maybe you'll join a project that's already bigger than anyone planned, or disappear into the wilderness and create something entirely your own.

Come leave your mark.
